We support Architects and Designers who are requested by councils to make unforeseen changes to submitted designs. Many of these suggested changes need to be queried. Rod Cullen Planning provides assistance to negotiate based on our diverse planning experience.

Planning Permit Application and Statutory Services

Rod Cullen Planning provides the full range of statutory planning services including Town Planning Applications: site analysis, panel hearings; rezoning; neighbourhood character analysis; Heritage comments, rescode reports; subdivision; site plans and Planning Act opinions.

Expert Evidence: VCAT Representation

The firm is engaged by architects to provide expert evidence at VCAT. We also draft and present VCAT submissions and act as advocated for architects. If necessary Lawyers and Expert witnesses are briefed and engaged as required.

Design Feedback

From our experience with local councils and VCAT, we often suggest minor adjustments to plans which can significantly improve the chances of getting a planning permit. The feasibility of the project can be enhanced and objections resolved.
